Jeff Smith
Lead Vocalist/Guitarist/Songwriter/Program Instructor

Jeffery Smith currently leads the Blue Veil band as the lead singer, and comes to the Sara Elizabeth Centre with several years of experience in the music field, as well as music program instructor.  He is regarded as a valued staff member who possesses numerous musical qualities, which are particularly attractive to today’s young people.  Jeff’s personality is seen by many as gentle and meek, and his charisma and attractiveness can be witnessed by the young people who hear his words and follow his actions.  “With great gifts come great responsibilities”—Jeff carries a great amount of accountability by being the leader of a “band of brothers”; bybeing the eldest in a family of 8 children; as well as by being the leader of the band.  Two of the most notable gifts he possesses are his sweet voice and his natural aptitude for song writing lyrics and melodies that carry uplifting and positive messages.

Jeff has shared his gift of music all his life as an entertainer in various bands and has many years of experience in coordinating and facilitating music programs for young adult with special needs. He has worked as a Youth leader in camps, as well as participated in many school events and continues to volunteer his time in youth ministry outreach programs.  He is also known in his community for his volunteer and contributions to liturgical services, community and charitable events.  As a songwriter, one of his greatest accomplishments has been to compose and produce a number of songs that are included in the CD (Leap of Faith) in conjunction with his band members that convey a positive message of life and faith.

Jeff’s greatest passion is to work with the young people, particularly young adults with special exceptionalities, to educate, train, and develop theirmusical abilities and at the same time expand their social and independent living skills so they can achieve personal growth and make a positive contribution to society.
